I’m Seth, I am 21 years old, a junior at George Washington University in Washington, DC- USA, studying International Economics and Spanish. I would recount stories of my family lineage, interests, and such other tidbits, but that would be boring. All you need to know is that I love to travel, I love languages, and I think there is nothing like a good adrenaline rush.
At the beginning of September 2009, I left the United States for a year. During that year, I will be studying, working, and travelling around Europe and North Africa (or anywhere the languages I speak will take me) and recounting it all here, uncensored, and hopefully without too many consequences. I’m sure that this is going to be fun to write, and I hope its an addictive read. Along the way, you can expect comedy, drama, distress, hangovers, epiphanies, and perhaps some anecdotal travel advice to save you the troubles I will undoubtably encounter. Im writing this three weeks before I leave, which maybe partially expresses my enthusiasm for this experience….anyways, stay tuned for my coming updates in September and beyond.

Seth–best wishes in your new adventure! I knew your journey was coming, but not so soon. Too bad for me–Ky and I are planning a trip to Nicaragua in the near future, we could have used your linguistic skills! Stay safe, have fun, learn, grow. And post lots of pics!
Hi Seth. New reader here. Thanks for sharing. This is great! Continue on and have a blast. The best years of your life are right now!! Take Care.
